Mount Elizabeth’s Revitalisation Sets a New Benchmark for Patient-Centred Care in the Region
04 Dec 2025

IHH Healthcare Singapore is strengthening its legacy of care through the revitalisation of Mount Elizabeth Hospital (MEH), a flagship institution that has supported patients from Singapore, Indonesia and across the region for more than 45 years.

As part of Project Renaissance, MEH is upgrading comfort, privacy, navigation and clinical technology to create a more intuitive and personalised patient experience. These improvements reflect IHH’s long-standing commitment to delivering the right level of care for every patient, including the many Indonesian families who have trusted Mount Elizabeth for decades.

Key enhancements include redesigned corridors that reduce congestion and support smoother operations, as well as upgraded clinical tools such as the NAEOTOM Alpha photon-counting CT scanner and advanced angiographic imaging systems.

Patients will benefit from more single-bed rooms, improved in-room comfort and digital support systems such as LizWorld for infotainment and care communication, and LizFinder to simplify hospital navigation for both local and overseas patients.

Indonesia, for example, is one of the group’s largest international markets, with Indonesian patients accounting for around half of all overseas patients at Mount Elizabeth Hospitals.

“Patients from Indonesia have long been part of our story, alongside many others who trust us with their care,” said Dr Peter Chow, CEO of IHH Singapore. “As needs evolve, we continue to innovate so we can consistently deliver accurate diagnoses, trusted outcomes and a supportive experience.”

The upgrades under Project Renaissance strengthen the wider Mount Elizabeth ecosystem, which includes Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital (MNH). Together, MEH’s long-standing expertise in complex care and MNH’s strengths in minimally invasive surgery, proton therapy and robotics form a unified network offering comprehensive, high-end services.

“Project Renaissance is about anticipating future needs and creating a hospital experience that is intuitive, personalised and powered by advanced medical technology,” said Yong Yih Ming, COO of IHH Singapore and CEO of Mount Elizabeth Hospital.

“Both campuses provide patients with more choice and continuity of care supported by consistent clinical standards,” said Sherrie Lim, CEO of Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital.

As revitalisation works continue into 2026, IHH Singapore remains focused on advancing clinical capabilities and strengthening patient trust. Mount Elizabeth’s transformation ensures that every patient, whether from Singapore, Indonesia or elsewhere in the region, can access world-class care delivered with compassion and precision.

This revitalisation marks a significant step in IHH’s commitment to being Southeast Asia’s most trusted healthcare destination, built on decades of excellence and a deep understanding of what truly matters to patients and their families.
