Gleneagles Hong Kong has joined forces with Emerging Viral Diagnostics (EVDL) and Mannings to create an innovative community healthcare ecosystem, combining advanced diagnostics, healthcare expertise, and accessible community channels.

The strategic collaboration aims to extend hospital-grade diagnostic services into the community, addressing antimicrobial resistance while enhancing the precision and reach of healthcare in Hong Kong. The initiative will leverage Gleneagles TeleCare, the hospital’s virtual consultation platform, alongside Mannings’ extensive retail store network, to introduce EVDL’s Avalon Automated Multiplex System (AAMST). This cutting-edge technology supports doctors in delivering precise treatments, reducing unnecessary antibiotic use, and helping prevent antimicrobial resistance, ultimately safeguarding public health. The service is expected to launch later this year.
Dr Kenneth Tsang, Regional Chief Executive Officer of IHH Healthcare North Asia and Chief Executive Officer of Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong, highlighted the importance of integrating clinical expertise, innovative technologies, and community networks. “This partnership enables us to extend hospital-quality healthcare into the community, establishing a connected ecosystem that benefits patients and public health alike,” he said.
As part of the multinational IHH Healthcare network, Gleneagles Hong Kong continues to champion its parent company’s “Care. For Good.” aspiration — driving innovation, patient-centred care, and sustainable healthcare solutions. Through this collaboration, the hospital seeks to make healthcare more accessible, reliable, and sustainable for communities across Hong Kong and beyond.
