
The expansion of HistoSonics' Histotripsy Training Centre in Hong Kong marks an important milestone in advancing physician education and innovation in non-invasive cancer treatment across Asia. Since introducing Histotripsy treatment in 2025, Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong has served as HistoSonics' regional Centre of Excellence for physician education, supporting training for healthcare professionals from Hong Kong, Asia, Europe and the Americas. The hospital has worked closely with HistoSonics to help translate innovation into clinical practice through education, research and collaboration.
With the support of the Li Ka Shing Foundation, Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong has reached important milestones, including treating more than 140 liver cancer patients and conducting clinical trials for pancreatic cancer treatment. These efforts continue to strengthen clinical evidence and expand experience in the application of Histotripsy.
