Acibadem pioneered smart hospital logistics in Türkiye by introducing ROBIE, an autonomous mobile robot, designed to elevate operational excellence.
At Acibadem Maslak Hospital in Istanbul, a fleet of ROBIE robots has been integrated into logistics and patient-support services - a first in the healthcare sector for Türkiye. These robots autonomously navigate hallways, operating seamlessly with elevators and doors to deliver medications, laboratory samples, meals, laundry, and supplies throughout the hospital.
Each ROBIE unit operates approximately 16 - 18 hours daily, travels an average of 35 kilometres per day, and carries loads of up to 500 kilograms. By handling repetitive logistical tasks, ROBIE reduces human traffic in corridors, minimises cross-contamination risks, and allows clinical staff to focus more time on direct patient care.
This smart logistics solution reflects Acibadem's commitment to innovation and operational excellence - leveraging technology to create safer, more efficient hospital environments for both patients and healthcare professionals.
