Proudly the First: IHH Healthcare Singapore Achieves Full National Electronic Health Record Participation
25 Nov 2025

IHH is proud to be the first private healthcare group in Singapore with all four hospitals fully contributing to the National Electronic Health Record (NEHR), reflecting our steadfast commitment to advancing continuity of care and building a more connected, patient-centred healthcare ecosystem.

The NEHR initiative plays a central role in Singapore’s long-term vision for integrated care. By consolidating patients’ key health information across providers, it enables clinicians to make better decisions and raises the standard of care coordination throughout the health system. IHH SG’s full participation strengthens this objective and contributes to a stronger, more resilient national healthcare infrastructure.

Our journey toward full participation began with Gleneagles Hospital, which became the first in our group to integrate with NEHR in August 2025. Within the first three days alone, Gleneagles successfully uploaded data for 65 newly admitted patients. This early momentum set a strong foundation for the rest of our hospitals. Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital and Parkway East Hospital have since completed their integration, collectively making IHH SG the only private healthcare group in Singapore that is fully connected to NEHR.

This milestone underscores our commitment to delivering seamless, high-quality care that puts patients at the heart of every decision. With all our hospitals now contributing to NEHR, our clinicians have timely access to comprehensive and accurate health information. This supports faster and better informed clinical decisions and enhances patient safety. It also reduces duplicated tests, lowers the risk of medication errors and ensures a more consistent and coordinated experience throughout the care journey.

IHH SG’s participation in NEHR brings direct benefits to the patients we serve. Doctors and care teams can review relevant health information more efficiently, allowing them to focus on what matters most. It strengthens communication between healthcare providers and empowers teams to anticipate patient needs with greater clarity. The result is a smoother and more personalised care experience that aligns with our vision of delivering trusted and compassionate care.

This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication and teamwork of our people across Singapore. Our doctors, nurses, allied health professionals and administrative and support staff overcame system-integration challenges and workflow requirements to make this possible. Their perseverance and commitment ensure that patients not only receive quality healthcare but also benefit from the opportunities made possible through digital innovation.

With full NEHR participation, IHH SG is stepping into a new era of connected care. We will continue to build on this foundation and seek new ways to enhance clinical excellence, improve patient outcomes and strengthen Singapore’s healthcare system. We are proud of this milestone and even more proud of the people who made it possible.

Together, we are shaping a future where care is safer, more coordinated and truly centred around the patient.
