IHH Malaysia Empowers Allied Health Professionals at National Conference
18 Sep 2025
IHH Healthcare Malaysia was the strategic partner of the 14th Allied Health Scientific Conference, organised by the Ministry of Health Malaysia on 9 and 10 September 2025.

At the heart of exceptional patient care is a fundamental understanding: recovery is a team achievement. While physicians lead diagnosis and treatment, it is the dedicated expertise of rehab specialists, nutritionists, pharmacists, mental health professionals, and many more that transforms clinical care into lasting recovery. These Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) form the essential backbone of a holistic and sustainable health ecosystem.

Guided by the theme “Innovate, Integrate, Inspire: Sustainable Healthcare Through Allied Health”, the conference united over 500 participants, 30 exhibitors, and leading local and international experts to ignite progress and redefine the future of service delivery.

The event was officially graced by YB Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad, Minister of Health Malaysia, whose presence underscored the national commitment to strengthening the allied health sector.

In his plenary session, “Multidisciplinary Collaboration: The Core of Integrated Healthcare Delivery”, Dr Kamal Amzan, Acting CEO of IHH Malaysia, highlighted that while doctors are central to care, patient outcomes are significantly stronger when allied health expertise is fully integrated, ensuring truly comprehensive and holistic recovery.

This conference served as a dynamic incubator for the ideas and initiatives shaping the next model of care. Key focus areas that drove the dialogue included:
  • Innovative and Value-based Healthcare: Moving beyond traditional models to prioritise patient outcomes and system sustainability.
  • Multidisciplinary Care: Breaking down silos to foster seamless collaboration across all specialities for integrated patient journeys.
  • Technology-driven Healthcare: Exploring how digital tools, data, and innovation can enhance efficiency, accessibility, and quality of care.
  • Future-thinking Leadership: Equipping AHPs with the skills and vision to lead transformative change within evolving healthcare systems.

As a strategic partner, IHH Malaysia is deeply committed to empowering AHPs. We believe that supporting such vibrant platforms for knowledge-sharing and collaboration is not just an investment in their growth, but an investment in the future of healthcare itself - ensuring healthier, stronger communities for generations to come.
