At the heart of exceptional patient care is a fundamental understanding: recovery is a team achievement. While physicians lead diagnosis and treatment, it is the dedicated expertise of rehab specialists, nutritionists, pharmacists, mental health professionals, and many more that transforms clinical care into lasting recovery. These Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) form the essential backbone of a holistic and sustainable health ecosystem.
Guided by the theme “Innovate, Integrate, Inspire: Sustainable Healthcare Through Allied Health”, the conference united over 500 participants, 30 exhibitors, and leading local and international experts to ignite progress and redefine the future of service delivery.
The event was officially graced by YB Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad, Minister of Health Malaysia, whose presence underscored the national commitment to strengthening the allied health sector.
In his plenary session, “Multidisciplinary Collaboration: The Core of Integrated Healthcare Delivery”, Dr Kamal Amzan, Acting CEO of IHH Malaysia, highlighted that while doctors are central to care, patient outcomes are significantly stronger when allied health expertise is fully integrated, ensuring truly comprehensive and holistic recovery.
- Innovative and Value-based Healthcare: Moving beyond traditional models to prioritise patient outcomes and system sustainability.
