The Future of Work: AI Agents in Action Hackathon invited colleagues from across the IHH network to explore how AI agents can help solve everyday challenges in healthcare and business operations.

After a 8-month long challenge, three teams emerged as the overall winners of The Future of Work: AI Agents in Action Hackathon.
The winning project, ARiSE (Accounts Receivables Insights Self-service Experience) from IHH Singapore, proposed a multi-agent solution that provides conversational access to accounts receivable insights through Microsoft Copilot. Designed to automate reporting, identify trends and generate forecasts, the solution aims to support faster and more informed decision-making.
Second place was awarded to SnapVitals from Gleneagles Hospital Singapore, an AI-powered solution that helps nurses capture and digitise vital signs more efficiently. By combining image recognition and automated data capture, the project seeks to reduce manual documentation while improving traceability and accuracy.
Third place went to XLSΛ Quality Magister from Gleneagles Hospital Kota Kinabalu, a compliance and audit intelligence solution developed for Food Services and Dietetics. The concept aims to centralise documentation, streamline evidence collection and support quality and compliance monitoring.
More than 200 ideas were generated during the hackathon, reflecting the growing opportunities to apply AI across clinical care, hospital operations, diagnostics, workforce management, patient services and corporate functions. From these submissions, 10 finalist teams were selected for demonstrating strong potential to improve the way healthcare organisations work, learn and deliver care.
While the use cases varied, the projects shared a common goal: simplifying complexity, supporting better decision-making and creating more time for work that matters most.
Together, the finalist projects demonstrated how AI can be applied to address practical challenges across diverse healthcare and business functions. More importantly, the hackathon highlighted the creativity and ingenuity of colleagues across our network, transforming everyday observations into ideas with the potential to enhance productivity, improve workflows and support better outcomes.
As IHH continues to explore the future of work, initiatives such as the hackathon provide a platform for testing new ideas and accelerating the adoption of technologies that can make a meaningful difference for colleagues and patients alike.
