Gleneagles JPMC Strengthens Cross-Border Healthcare Collaboration
28 Jul 2025
Gleneagles is extending its reach beyond Brunei’s borders, through a deepened collaboration with Bank Syariah Indonesia to deliver quality cardiac care across the region.

On 22 July 2025, Gleneagles JPMC took part in the second international health talk organised by Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) in Malang, East Java Province, as part of ongoing collaboration to raise awareness of heart health and promote cross-border access to medical care.

The session spotlighted Brunei as a regional destination for high-quality medical care, with Gleneagles JPMC presenting its comprehensive range of services and advanced capabilities as a trusted option for patients seeking specialised cardiac treatment.

Dr Eugene Sim, Chief of Clinical Services and Director of Cardiac Surgery at Gleneagles JPMC, delivered an engaging presentation on heart health. He highlighted the warning signs of heart attacks and stressed the importance of early detection and lifestyle adjustments in preventing cardiovascular disease.

Gleneagles JPMC’s Chief Operating Officer, ‘Izzul Hamzi bin Hj Jomari, expressed his appreciation for the ongoing partnership with BSI, saying, “Events such as these not only allow us to share our expertise but also strengthen our ties with valued partners like BSI. This collaboration helps us bring Brunei’s world-class cardiac services closer to Indonesia.”

BSI’s Waskito Vergino expressed his gratitude, noting that the event reflected the strength and shared vision of both organisations in positioning Brunei as a trusted healthcare hub.
