Titled “Intelligence at Scale: How AI is Powering Real-World Healthcare Revolution”, the thematic panel session co-organised by Gleneagles Hong Kong and Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) was moderated by Dr Kenneth Tsang, Regional Chief Executive Officer of IHH Healthcare North Asia.

With the pervasive adoption of AI driving a paradigm shift across industries, including healthcare, the session explored how artificial intelligence could deliver measurable clinical and operational impact at scale.
Bringing together leaders from healthcare, academia, innovators and the technology sector, the panel discussed key priorities shaping AI adoption in healthcare, including scaling solutions from pilot to practice, strengthening cross‑sector collaboration, and ensuring robust clinical validation, governance and trust in the use of AI. The discussion examined real-life examples of challenges and opportunities in scaling the use of AI in clinical settings and highlighted that trust is among one of the fundamentals to the successful adoption of AI in healthcare.
Dr Tsang emphasised that AI is not about replacing people, but about empowering healthcare professionals through upskilling and engagement to work confidently alongside technology. By building practical, scalable and trusted AI solutions in close partnership with stakeholders including doctors, AI enables new models of care and deliver meaningful, sustainable impact for patients and clinicians alike.
The Asia Summit on Global Health (ASGH) jointly organised by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the HKTDC was held on 11 – 12 May. Themed “Fuelling Healthcare Breakthroughs”, the event enabled Gleneagles Hong Kong to showcase and share its commitment to strengthening cross‑sector collaboration to foster the adoption of transformative and data‑enabled care models, supporting clinical excellence and improved patient outcomes.
