27 Mar 2025

Gleneagles Hospital Mumbai teams up with DNS Hospital to provide world-class liver care closer to home for residents in Indore.

Gleneagles Hospital Mumbai has partnered with DNS Hospital, Indore, to enhance local access to specialised liver care. This collaboration allows Indore residents to receive expert consultations and treatments without extensive travel.

Liver specialists from Gleneagles Hospital Mumbai, Dr Anurag Shrimal, Director of Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery, Pancreas, Intestine & Liver Transplant and Dr Chetan Kalal, Associate Director of Hepatology & Liver Transplant, will conduct regular consultations at DNS Hospital. This initiative ensures timely diagnosis and effective treatment for liver diseases, cirrhosis, and potential liver transplant candidates.

“At Gleneagles Hospital Mumbai, our aim is to broaden healthcare accessibility. Collaborating with DNS Hospital means patients in Indore can receive advanced liver treatments locally, significantly enhancing their quality of life,” said Dr Bipin Chevale, CEO of Gleneagles Hospital Mumbai.

Dr Rajesh Jain, Medical Director at DNS Hospital, noted, “Having experienced specialists like Dr Shrimal and Dr Kalal onsite elevates local healthcare standards. Patients benefit immensely from receiving timely and expert medical care without long-distance travel.”

With nearly 38% of India’s population affected by non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, this partnership meets a vital healthcare need, enhancing liver health awareness and elevating regional patient care standards.
