Mount Elizabeth Hospitals and Parkway Cancer Centre brought clinicians, partners and the community together at Lessons for Life 2026 to reflect on the progress of cancer care and the collective work needed to support patients across every part of their journey.
When it comes to cancer care, progress is measured not only by clinical outcomes, but also by the lives restored, extended and supported along the way.
Earlier this month, Mount Elizabeth Hospitals, Singapore and Parkway Cancer Centre organised Lessons for Life 2026, bringing together clinicians, partners and members of the community to reflect on how far cancer care has advanced, and the work that remains in supporting patients through every stage of their journey.
Over the past two decades, breakthroughs in immunotherapy, minimally invasive surgery and precision radiation have transformed cancer treatment, improving outcomes and survivorship for many patients. At the same time, an ageing population and the rising incidence of cancer among younger individuals continue to underscore the need for a broader, more integrated approach to cancer care.
As part of IHH Healthcare Singapore’s integrated network, Mount Elizabeth Hospitals and Parkway Cancer Centre are committed to advancing care across the full cancer care continuum. This includes strengthening prevention and risk prediction through genomics, improving early detection by bringing care closer to the community, and supporting recovery, rehabilitation and survivorship long after treatment ends.
Through its clinics, hospitals and ancillary services across the IHH Healthcare Singapore network, the Group remains focused on delivering patient-centred cancer care that recognises every individual’s unique needs, circumstances and journey.
