The simulation was conducted between Acibadem Maslak Hospital and Acibadem University CASE (Advanced Medical Simulation and Training Center).

During this pioneering simulation, a robotic surgical technology located at Acibadem University CASE was utilised. Simultaneously, a urology specialist and his team - from Department of Minimally Invasive and Robotic Urology - performed the procedure in real time from the robotic surgery console in Acibadem Maslak Hospital.
This breakthrough demonstrates the potential of remote surgical applications, powered by ultra-fast data transmission, latency below 1 millisecond and high-resolution real-time imaging.
With this technology, a surgeon’s hand movements can be instantly transmitted to robotic arms in a different location — enabling high-precision operations to be performed safely and reliably from a remote location.
This advancement represents a significant milestone for healthcare in Türkiye, where distance is no longer a barrier for patients to receive expert surgical care.
