As Malaysia enters its COVID-19 recovery phase, the teams at Pantai Hospital Sungai Petani and Pantai Hospital Laguna Merbok have stepped up efforts to support a safe reopening for the community by performing onsite COVID-19 swab tests for foreign workers and distributing free hand sanitisers and face shields to paediatric patients.
Our Marketing staff and nurses at the two hospitals performed close to 600 swab tests in May and June for migrant workers from construction companies, as part of the government’s requirements for work commencement.
Within our hospital walls, our staff also give out complimentary face shields and hand sanitisers to paediatric patients to encourage and promote good hygiene and to provide additional protection for children who visit our hospitals for treatment or consultation.
Tio Bee Chan, Chief Executive Officer of Pantai Hospital Sungai Petani and Pantai Hospital Laguna Merbok, said,
We understand that parents are naturally worried about their child’s safety during this period. By providing hand sanitisers and face shields, we hope to give them greater assurance and peace of mind when they visit our hospitals.”
