Going The Extra Mile. For Good.
21 Oct 2022

Two of our hospitals at IHH Singapore celebrated their anniversaries in a meaningful and healthy way this year!

Parkway East Hospital – with the longest legacy within our IHH network – initiated a “Cycling for Autism” event for its 80th anniversary while Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital organised a “Walk for Good 2022” for its 10th anniversary. Proceeds from both fundraising events go towards the hospitals’ respective beneficiaries.

Parkway East Hospital’s “Cycling for Autism” event on 24 September proved to be a wheelie good time, with over 200 participants joining the 10km and 20km ride along the scenic seaside. Proceeds from event registration fees and donations were channelled to the hospital’s adopted beneficiary, St Andrew’s Autism Centre (SAAC). The hospital will conclude its 80th anniversary celebrations on 31 October with a cheque presentation to SAAC and launch its new operating rooms and refreshed history wall.

The Mount Elizabeth “Walk For Good” event on 2 October saw over 250 participations walking the extra mile of 8.2km to support the Autism Resource Centre Singapore (ARC). The President of Singapore, Mdm Halimah Yacob graced the event and witnessed the MOU signing of a three-year collaboration between IHH Singapore and ARC to provide training to and support the employment of individuals with autism in healthcare. To date, IHH Healthcare Singapore is already employing 15 ARC clients at its Pharmacies, Radiology departments, Medical Records and Corporate Offices.

Thanks Parkway East and Mount Elizabeth Hospitals, for showing what it means to #CareForGood!
