After two years of virtual events, this year’s hybrid IHH Quality Summit held from 13 – 14 October, hosted by IHH Malaysia, was met with much anticipation and excitement. Some 450 delegates and colleagues attended the 2-day event held in Kuala Lumpur, which was streamed live to all staff across our IHH network.
Into its 7th year, the IHH Quality Summit is an annual flagship event that celebrates our quality journey, its milestones and most importantly, recognise our people who dedicate their lives to the provision of excellent care.
Together, we embraced the theme, ‘Quality: Above and Beyond’, aimed at elevating our quality of care in all aspects to keep up with the dynamic and ever-changing healthcare landscape across the globe.
Besides invigorating presentations from the winning teams on their service and clinical excellence projects, participants also heard from internal and external experts during the plenary sessions on pertinent topics such as digital transformation in healthcare, service excellence, nursing, and governance and quality assurance.
In his opening speech, IHH MD and CEO Dr Kelvin Loh introduced two new awards presented at the Summit this year.
“I am pleased to announce our first new award – the IHH Medical Excellence Award – which recognises and honours the exceptional clinical care rendered by our consultants who have made major contributions towards advancing medicine.
“The second new award – The IHH CEO Clinical Effectiveness Award – award honours our physician-led Value-Driven Outcome initiatives, centred on improving clinical outcomes and patient experience while optimising cost, steering us as pioneers in providing affordable and accessible, holistic care.”
