Gleneagles JPMC launched its first-ever Back-to-School Assistance Programme on 15 December, partnering with Majlis Kesejahteraan Masyarakat (MKM) Brunei to support 20 underprivileged students for the 2026 school year.

Accompanied by volunteers from Gleneagles JPMC and their hospital Chief Executive Officer Dr Peter Tay, the children enjoyed a shopping trip at Samima Sdn Bhd, where each student received a $200 voucher and $50 in cash for essentials. The initiative was further bolstered by a 10% discount from Samima.
Izzul Hamzi Jomari, Chief Operating Officer of Gleneagles JPMC shared that while healthcare remains the hospital’s core focus, its responsibility extends beyond hospital walls, with education playing an equally vital role in shaping a better future. He added that the initiative was not only about providing school supplies, but also about offering encouragement, confidence, and reassurance to the children as they prepare for the new school year.
The event created a meaningful connection between the hospital, the families, and the wider community, further highlighting the warm spirit of compassion and teamwork as we continue our aspiration to Care. For Good.
