Officiated on 11 June, the FMRI Centre of Excellence, brings a highly specialised, patient‑centred and research‑driven approach to managing blood cancers.

Built on the philosophy of "One Disease. One Doctor. One Focus.", the centre brings together multidisciplinary expertise, advanced diagnostics, precision medicine, stem cell transplantation, cellular therapies, innovative treatment options, clinical research, and patient support services under a single integrated platform.
Designed as one of India's first disease-specific centres focused exclusively on myeloma and lymphoma, the initiative addresses the complexity of care through personalised treatment pathways and seamless collaboration among specialists. The centre aims to improve clinical outcomes, expand access to cutting-edge therapies, strengthen translational research, and establish new standards in hematologic oncology.
Sharing insights about this pioneering initiative, Dr Rahul Bhargava, Principal Director & Chief - Bone Marrow Transplant, FMRI said: The centre brings together experts across genomics, genetics, pathology, translational science, data analytics, haematology, radiation oncology, cellular therapy, CAR-T, and clinical research to accelerate the translation of scientific discoveries into personalised treatment strategies for patients with complex blood cancers.
Advance genomic profiling enables clinicians to identify actionable mutations, tailor treatment approaches, monitor disease progression more effectively, and connect patients to targeted therapies and clinical trials, highlighting the important role of precision medicine.
The new centre is expected to strengthen India's haematology ecosystem by serving as a national referral hub for myeloma and lymphoma patients while supporting clinical research, physician education, and the development of future standards of care in blood cancer treatment.
This landmark step in advancing blood cancer care underscores IHH’s commitment to continuously redefine cancer care through advanced technology, innovative treatment protocols, and expert multidisciplinary teams.
