Fortis Healthcare has received its latest ESG rating from the National Stock Exchange, and we are pleased to share significant progress in both our score and sector ranking.
NSE Sustainability has boosted Fortis Healthcare’s ESG score from 58 in FY24 to 68 in FY25, reflecting the meaningful strides we have made in advancing our sustainability agenda.
While our Social and Governance pillars continue to remain strong in line with sectoral trends, the most notable improvement has been in our Environmental pillar. Our score has risen from 42 in FY24 to 59 in FY25, driven by targeted initiatives focused on emissions reduction, energy optimisation and water efficiency across all Fortis hospitals.
As a result of this progress, Fortis now ranks #2 among seven peer healthcare firms in the NSE FY25 ESG ratings, moving up from #4 in the CRISIL FY24 ESG ratings for the same peer group, based on publicly available data.
NSE has assigned Fortis the ‘Aspiring’ rating category, described as: “Shows strong ESG commitment with steady progress and solid disclosures.”
This improved ranking and rating serve as a credible third-party endorsement of our sustainability efforts and the tangible results achieved. It is a reflection of the commitment and collaboration across our teams as we continue to strengthen our environmental and social impact while upholding strong governance standards.
