Parkway Shanghai Tops Out
15 Sep 2019

Parkway Shanghai Hospital notched another project milestone on 16 September as its building structure was completed. The 450-bed multi-specialty hospital is expected to start seeing patients in 2022.

It will offer a comprehensive range of specialties, with a focus on cardiology, cardiac surgery, gastroenterology, urology, minimally invasive surgery, general surgery and internal medicine.

Built on a 35,754 square metre site (about five football fields), Parkway Shanghai is located in close proximity to the Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and high speed railway station. The hospital will leverage our existing network of medical centres in Shanghai to provide integrated healthcare services for residents in the Yangtze River Delta and beyond.

Located in the medical hub of Shanghai New Hongqiao International Medical Center, Parkway Shanghai will support the Chinese government’s ambition to develop Shanghai into a world-class medical destination that attracts not only Chinese nationals, but also expatriates and medical tourists alike.

The hospital is a joint venture between IHH Healthcare, Taikang Insurance Group and Shanghai Hongxin Medical Investment Holding.
