Achievements Unlocked

A month after obtaining its first major accreditation from The Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) International, Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong notched more achievements in December 2019 as it expanded its Health Screening Centre and opened a new Orthopaedic Ward.

The four-year ACHS accreditation is an accumulation of nearly two years of hard work and preparation by various departments. It is the hospital’s first major accreditation to benchmark its healthcare standards with local and international healthcare players. The team performed well in all 47 criteria of the survey, reflecting the hospital’s high standards across a broad range of key services.

Continuing its efforts to provide better patient care, Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong expanded its Health Screening Centre with double the floor space to cater to an increasing number of patients. The newly renovated Centre also provides patients with a more comfortable environment and better service experience. There are even VIP rooms for patients who prefer more privacy.

Adding to the hospital’s service capacity is the new Orthopaedic Ward, which complements the existing Joint Replacement Centre and Spine Centre in offering full-fledged inpatient care for orthopaedic patients.

Both facilities have received good feedback from patients since their opening.
