Held in February 2025, the exclusive media event gave participants a first-hand look at how innovation is shaping modern healthcare. Through an immersive 3D metaverse journey combined with a guided hospital tour, the guests explored key facilities at Gleneagles Hospital Johor, including the Cancer Centre, Accident & Emergency Unit, Health Screening Centre, and the soon-to-be-launched Level 7 Rehabilitation Facility.

Since May 2023, the hospital has performed over 250 Obstetrics & Gynaecology robotic surgeries and 100 robotic total knee replacements, reinforcing its reputation as a centre of excellence in robotic-assisted procedures.
During the event, media representatives also toured the Premier International Patient Lounge, a dedicated space designed to streamline care for patients from Batam, Pekan Baru, and Dumai. One of the event’s standout moments was a live demonstration of the hospital’s PET-CT technology, featuring the region’s first Gallium scanner and Johor’s second fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) scanner. These advancements enhance cancer diagnosis accuracy and treatment planning, ensuring patients receive faster and more precise care.
