Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong Teams Up in the Fight Against Migraine
13 Feb 2025

In partnership with Bowtie and Pfizer Hong Kong, Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong is taking a proactive step in promoting migraine awareness and health education.

Migraines affect millions worldwide, yet they remain widely misunderstood. A collaboration between Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong, Bowtie, and Pfizer aims to bridge the knowledge gap, providing individuals with the tools and resources to recognise symptoms early and seek timely and appropriate treatment.

"Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong is committed to providing quality medical services while actively promoting the development of primary healthcare through various initiatives, including health education, to enhance public awareness of different diseases and health consciousness. Through this collaboration with Bowtie and Pfizer Hong Kong, we believe that people’s understanding of migraines will be deepened and those in need will be able to receive timely and professional medical support," said Dr Kenneth Tsang, CEO of Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong and Regional CEO of IHH Healthcare North Asia.

A Holistic Approach to Healthcare

The partnership is centred around a public education campaign that leverages various platforms including digital content, expert-led discussions, and community outreach programmes. By combining Gleneagles’ medical excellence, Bowtie’s digital-first insurance expertise, and Pfizer’s innovative healthcare solutions, the campaign takes a multi-faceted approach to raising awareness.

Key Highlights:

Educational Resources: Informative content designed to help individuals recognize the signs of migraines and understand available treatment options.

Community Engagement: A series of online and offline activities aimed at increasing public awareness and encouraging proactive health management.

Accessibility to Healthcare: Customers of Bowtie, Hong Kong’s first virtual insurance company, identified as high-risk through this assessment will be eligible for a half-priced discount on outpatient consultations, along with a one-on-one session with a neurologist at Gleneagles.

A Commitment to Health & Well-Being

This collaboration is more than just a campaign - it is a testament to the shared vision of Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong, Bowtie, and Pfizer in fostering a healthier and more informed society. By addressing critical health concerns such as migraines, the initiative empowers individuals to take control of their well-being and access the care they need.
