The new centre opened its doors on 11 November 2025, in Gurugram, Haryana, with a ceremony attended by senior leaders from IHH Healthcare and Fortis.
The event brought together key figures who have shaped IHH’s regional healthcare ambition: Dr Prem Kumar Nair, Group CEO of IHH Healthcare; Mr Ashok Pandit, Group Chief Corporate Officer of IHH Healthcare; Adj Assoc. Prof. Keith Lim, Group Chief Medical Officer of IHH Healthcare; Mr Dilip Kadambi, Group CFO of IHH Healthcare; Dr Ashutosh Raghuvanshi, MD & CEO of Fortis; Mr Anil Vinayak, Group COO; Dr Ritu Garg, Chief Growth and Innovation Officer; and Dr Samir Parikh, Chairperson of the Fortis National Mental Health Program, alongside other leaders.
Their presence underscored the collective commitment to advancing mental health as a core pillar of Fortis and IHH’s broader care ecosystem.
Located along NH 1 and 2 in Gurugram, Adayu has been designed as a sanctuary for individuals seeking discreet, high quality care for mental health, psychiatry, and addiction challenges. The facility houses 36 dedicated beds, each supported by a multidisciplinary team offering cutting edge treatments anchored in clinical excellence, innovation, and compassion.
Beyond structured treatment, Adayu places strong emphasis on restoring dignity, privacy, and the human connection essential to mental health recovery. The thoughtfully designed environment features several serene and secluded spaces that encourage reflection and emotional restoration. These include:
- Akiyam, a landscaped terrace organic garden
- Horai, a quiet and peaceful retreat for rejuvenation
- Niwa, a green sanctuary created to reconnect individuals with nature
Together, these spaces offer a nurturing backdrop where patients can breathe, recalibrate, and rediscover their sense of self. Adayu’s outpatient services operate under the philosophy of Safe Space – a model that prioritises comfort, discretion, and confidentiality. The design enables patients to seek help without stigma, empowering them to take proactive steps toward mental wellbeing.
The centre also features Edgex, a precision driven mental health platform that uses high performance psychology and neurocognitive protocols to deliver personalised, outcome based pathways. This integration of advanced diagnostics and therapeutic methods reflects Fortis’s commitment to pushing the next frontier of mental healthcare.
The launch of Adayu represents far more than the opening of a new facility. It signals Fortis’s determination to redefine mental health care in India through purpose built environments, modern therapeutic models, and a compassionate approach centred on patient dignity.
As mental health challenges continue to rise globally, Adayu stands as a testament to what is possible when clinical expertise, innovation, and empathy converge. It reinforces IHH and Fortis’s belief that mental health deserves the same rigor, investment, and respect as any other medical specialty.
