On 9 November, Singapore’s Heath Minister Ong Ye Kung paid a visit to Mount Elizabeth Hospital to recognise and appreciate our staff for their hard work, dedication and sacrifice throughout the ongoing crisis.
Across the globe, our people have stepped up to partner public agencies in the fight against COVID-19. Although the last 20 months have not been easy, the Singapore team is proud to play a key role in the nation’s pandemic response, working together with the public healthcare sector to slow down the spread of the virus, ensure the sick continue to receive quality care, while helping Singapore move forward towards a new normal.
This include deploying more of our resources to support Public Health Preparedness Clinics (PHPCs) and vaccination centres, providing medical support for the dormitories and community care facilities as well as ramping up our manpower and capacity to care for more COVID-19 patients at our hospitals.
To all our healthcare heroes, your steadfast support and contribution have certainly not gone unnoticed. Thank you for giving us hope for a better tomorrow!
