A New Chapter for Mount Elizabeth Hospital

For more than four decades, Mount Elizabeth Hospital has cared for generations of patients with a commitment to quality, compassion and medical excellence. Today, it begins a new chapter with the completion of Project Renaissance, its first major transformation since 1979.

Spanning three years, Project Renaissance reflects a thoughtful renewal of the hospital, reimagining how care is delivered and experienced for the needs of today and tomorrow. Every enhancement has been guided by a clear purpose: to support increasingly complex, high-acuity care while keeping patients at the heart of every decision.

From redesigned patient wards to more advanced emergency care and treatment centres, the transformation goes beyond physical spaces. It is about creating an environment that feels more responsive, more seamless and more attuned to the realities of modern healthcare.

The hospital’s enhanced facilities now include expanded single-bed capacity to meet growing demand, alongside separate patient and visitor flows that improve privacy, efficiency and the overall care experience. Technology also plays an important role in this renewal. New AI-enabled capabilities are helping to strengthen clinical and operational efficiency across functions such as claims processing, operating theatre scheduling, bed management and nurse rostering. At the same time, LizWorld, Mount Elizabeth Hospital’s patient platform, brings together digital wayfinding, in-room services, patient information and self-service requests into one integrated experience.
