Giving Certainty During Uncertain Times
18 Feb 2021

Free COVID-19 vaccination, workplace safety and job security – these were just some of the takeaways from the IHH Managing Director & CEO Global Online Town Hall held on 29 January. Connecting virtually with more than 2,000 employees from different parts of the world, Dr Kelvin Loh, joined by Group Chief Operating Officer Joe Sim and Group Chief Human Resources Officer Angela Ryan, also shared the company’s people and business initiatives for 2021 and addressed questions from staff that came in.

Citing stories of staff who embodied the company’s core values during the pandemic, Dr Loh thanked our people for their unwavering dedication and resilience, which has helped IHH endure the crisis.

“I want you to know that IHH will always stand by you, as you stand by our patients. Regardless where we are based now, what our role is in our company, whether it is frontline or in the back room providing support, it is your dedication to putting patients first, that makes IHH what it is today.”

At the town hall, staff also heard from Joe how IHH is earning the trust of our patients and doctors, through our value-driven outcomes initiative and new in-house hospital IT system that is being developed for IHH Malaysia. Angela also shared key group-level findings from the recent Employee Engagement Survey, with country-level results and interventions to follow post-town hall.

Nearly a full hour was devoted to the question and answer segment, fronted by the three IHH leaders alongside the country heads from our various markets.
