Our Acibadem Healthcare Group has signed definitive agreements for the acquisition of a 70 percent stake in Bel Medic Group, a leading private healthcare operator in Serbia.
The acquisition will boost Acibadem’s healthcare network to more than 4,200 beds across 22 hospitals in 5 countries.
“The acquisition of Bel Medic is consistent with our cluster growth strategy for Turkey and Central and Eastern Europe, which contributes to IHH’s ambition of becoming the world’s most trusted healthcare services network,” said Dr Kelvin Loh, Managing Director and CEO of IHH Healthcare.
Mehmet Ali Aydınlar, Founder and Chairman of Acıbadem, said, “We are pleased to have Acıbadem’s sixth European hospital in Belgrade. As a result of our partnership with Bel Medic, one of the key healthcare service providers in the country, we will be transferring Acıbadem’s know-how into Serbia and elevating healthcare service delivery level to a higher level led by synergies to be created with Bel Medic.”
