As part of our earthquake relief efforts in Turkiye in February, IHH donated US$2 million via our Acibadem Healthcare Group which went to the setting up of 260 container houses for earthquake victims on the 40,000 square metre Solidarity Quarter established in the Battalgazi district of Malatya City.
Our Acibadem teams spared no effort to meet the needs of earthquake victims, offering not just shelter but also a clean and comforting environment, complete with medical care and assistance.
The February 2023 earthquake that disrupted life in Turkiye and Syria caused many to lose their homes and loved ones.
IHH and our Turkish subsidiary, Acibadem Healthcare Group, supported relief efforts by building the Solidarity Quarter – an approximately 40,000 square metre compound at the Battalgazi district of Malatya City.
260 container houses were prepared and shipped from Istanbul to Malatya and best efforts were made to fulfil all the needs of earthquake victims and provide a clean and pleasant environment with medical care and assistance.
