World-class Symposium for a World-class Team

Skillathons, international speakers, and tons of learning - the second IHH Nursing Symposium was a huge success with our global nursing workforce, with about 3,000 of them tuning in to the virtual event on 7 and 8 October.

This year’s theme, SPACE, focused on Synergy, Partnership, Advocacy, Critical Thinking and Expertise, which reflects our need to stay aligned with the three major trends in the healthcare industry: healthcare being delivered digitally where possible; rising demand by healthcare consumers for greater transparency; and better public-private partnership and collaboration.

IHH Group Head of Nursing, Elaine Ng, shared, “IHH nursing has come a long way, from working together to achieving together. And now, we want to take it to the next level by co-creating to optimise synergies so as to take nursing to even greater heights.”

The two-day symposium saw discussions ranging from patient safety to technological advancement. Besides learning from each other, the participants gleaned insights from international speakers Dr Shelly Lancaster R, Nurse Scientist at Aurora Sinai Medical Centre, USA, as well as Professor Joy Notter and Senior Lecturer Major (Retd) Chris Carter from Birmingham City University, UK. For the first time, they got to participate in dynamic skillathons demonstrating age-specific critical care nursing.

Thank you to our nursing team for always striving for excellence and improving patient care.
