In what could have been a fatal incident, our doctors at BGS Gleneagles Global Hospital raced against time to save a young man’s life.
The 28-year-old was brought to the hospital’s emergency room with an arm injury that caused serious bleeding and lowering of blood pressure on dangerous dangerously low blood pressure. Due to his delay in seeking treatment, our doctors faced a huge challenge of saving not only his limb, but also his life.
With only a four-hour window to work with, a team of doctors led by Dr Naveen Kumar H R had to race against time to connect the veins and salvage both his arm and life. This surgery was successfully completed in under three hours.
Well done to the team for pulling all stops to save a life.
