V is for Victory against COVID-19 Virus
26 Feb 2020

Since the start of COVID-19 outbreak in December last year, our teams at Gleneagles Hospital Chengdu and ParkwayHealth China have been working hard to ensure a safe environment for our patients and staff. They have also extended a helping hand to the affected communities by donating essential supplies and conducting online education talks.

Our China colleagues have been putting in extra hours and keeping up with new measures that are introduced to contain the outbreak. These include temperature taking for all patients and visitors and ensuring that they fill up the health declaration form. Medical and nursing staff are stationed at designated areas to provide professional guidance and service.

All our healthcare facilities have stepped up cleaning and disinfecting efforts for their premises. Staff are issued masks and hand sanitisers for protection against the virus. They also get daily reminders on the importance of personal hygiene as well as important updates.

Even while these are going on, our colleagues did not forget to reach out to the affected communities.

Donation of essential supplies have been made to frontline workers in Wuhou District and Chengdu. The China team has also launched a series of public education talks on social media and mobile application. A telephone hotline has also been set up by our doctors to provide professional advice daily from 9 am – 9 pm.
