Mind Your Wellness
19 Nov 2021

Music soothes the soul. Laughter is an instant vacation. You can’t pour from an empty cup.

These quotes were brought to life in a recent “Mind Your Wellness” webinar, a brainchild of our IHH Group Nursing team.

The COVID-19 pandemic has been the cause of considerable stress and burnout, especially so for our healthcare colleagues. While stress cannot be avoided, we can certainly learn to manage it. In this aspect, Group Nursing has taken the lead.

Nurses across our global network were introduced to music and laughter yoga therapy to help them manage stress and anxiety. It also provided them a safe space to share their struggles with medical experts and psychologists.

Across our global network, many new initiatives have been implemented to create a caring and supportive environment for our people, particularly during this difficult time where they are fighting hard to save lives.

There are channels for them to seek care or advice from psychiatrists, psychologists and counsellors. A Mindfi wellness app has also been introduced for our colleagues in Singapore which can be accessed anywhere and anytime. These are just some examples of initiatives to encourage our people to incorporate self-care in their daily lives.
