Going Beyond

Apart from providing state-of-the-art cardiac services in Brunei, Gleneagles JPMC has played an active role in elevating the nation’s health since 2019, most recently with a B$250,000 donation to promote workplace health and healthy lifestyle.

The hospital renewed its Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Brunei Ministry of Health on 12 April. Besides the financial contribution of B$250,000 to fund initiatives such as the Workplace and Health Programme and the Happy Environment and Lifestyle Programme, the hospital also provides manpower to support screening programmes for government ministries, such as atrial fibrillation screening and random blood sugar testing.

Since the inception of the Workplace and Health Programme, Gleneagles JPMC has helped screen over 12,000 people and conducted close to 200 exercise sessions. It has also conducted mass activities such as community beach runs for over 700 participants.

With this renewed collaboration, the hospital will continue to work closely with the Health Ministry to come up with more initiatives to keep the nation healthy. In fact, a weight loss programme for the workplace is in talks to be launched soon!
