Across Malaysia, all our 15 Gleneagles and Pantai Hospitals went in full force to ‘Turn Up the Pink!’ during breast cancer awareness month. From launching Malaysia's first Digital Pink Ribbon to projecting a Pink Ribbon on our hospital façade, Malaysia Operations shows solidarity in the fight against breast cancer.
On 1 October, Gleneagles and Pantai Hospitals launched Malaysia's first Digital Pink Ribbon. Supporters are encouraged to upload a pink photo and accompanying caption on their Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, and hashtag #GleneaglesWarriors or #PantaiStrongerTogether. With each post, a small digital heart icon will be linked to form a digital pink ribbon on our Pantai and Gleneagles websites.
All the hospitals also simultaneously projected a Pink Ribbon on their building façade at 8pm on 6 October, as a show of support for breast cancer survivors.
To raise public awareness of breast cancer, the month-long campaign also conveyed important information such as identifying symptoms of breast cancer, tips on breast self-examinations, screening methods and more, via the hospitals’ websites, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Meanwhile, the hospitals also organise related activities such as charity sale of pink masks, launch of pink ambulance and free health talks etc, to raise awareness about the disease.
