Continuing Medical Education (CME)

On top of doctor engagement activities, our accredited doctors have access to a wide range of Continuing Medical Education (CME) talks and webinars throughout the year to ensure they keep themselves current with changes in medicine in general, as well as in areas relevant to their own specialised field of practice.

How to Register?

First Name:

Your Full Name as registered with SMC/SDC (this will appear as your Zoom Screen Name)

Email:

Your own email address; do not use any shared/clinic email address or another doctor’s email address

Last Name:

You may specify your MCR/DCR number (this will appear as part of your Zoom Screen Name)

MCR/DCR Number:

5 digits + 1 alphabet eg 01234A (no space in between; there’s no need to enter prefix “M” or “D”)

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with your personal meeting link to join these Online CMEs.

All CME lectures will start at 1 pm
The Zoom Webinar room will be opened around 12.30 pm

Important Notes:
  1. Programme is subject to change or cancel without prior notice
  2. Registration is required for the Online CME Lectures (one-time registration for the same series of CMEs in the same month):
    • Click on "Register" or URL or scan the QR code as shown in the monthly CME calendar to register
    • A Registration pop-up window will appear - please use the following format to help us capture your name and MCR number accurately:
      • First Name = your full or real name – do not use abbreviation, fuzzy or unidentifiable names
      • Last Name = you may specify your MCR/DCR number (this info will appear as part of your Zoom screen name)
      • Email = your own email address; DO NOT use any shared/clinic email address or another doctor’s email address so that we could identify you correctly; one/same email address will only be tied to one/same person for claiming CME point.
      • MCR / DCR number eg 12345A (no space in between; no need to enter prefix “M” or “D”).
    • After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with your personal meeting link to join the sessions. DO NOT share your personal meeting link with anybody as it is tied to you only for claiming CME point. There’s only one meeting link for the same series of Online CME Lectures in the same month.
    • You may click on “Add to Calendar” from the confirmation email to help you set reminders for these online CMEs, but please tally the newly added dates with the monthly CME calendar and delete any wrongly added dates from your calendar, eg weekends, Mondays and public holidays.
    • If you did not receive the confirmation email, please check your spam/junk folder of your mailbox. You may wish to add [email protected] as your trusted source. Another possible reason would be incorrect email address. You may submit your registration again but do double-check that your email is correct/valid.
  3. How to Join the Online CME lectures on Zoom:
    • All participants must sign-in using their own personal meeting link from the confirmation email.
    • If you join the session by entering the Webinar ID and Webinar Passcode, Zoom will not recognise you and it will keep asking you to register every time when you join using the Webinar ID and Webinar Passcode. Hence, it’s advisable to register and join the session using your own personal meeting link.
    • DO NOT use another person’s personal meeting link to join the session as Zoom will only recognise the registrant
    • The Zoom room will be closed on non-CME days, please refer to the monthly CME calendar for the CME dates or check your email in case there’s any last-minute changes to the programme.
  4. Attendance and CME Point:
    • One CME point per lecture pending SMC's approval.
    • We will submit your attendance to SMC and SDC but it will not be immediately after the lecture because (a) we need time to verify the massive number of records; (b) give anonymous folks time to identify themselves; and (c) SMC approval might take at least 4-6 weeks, and we could only submit the attendance after SMC has approved the lecture, i.e. end of the lecture month or the following month. CMEs may not be approved in chronological order, i.e., later talks might get approved first.
    • Reporting of attendance in the chat box is not necessary because your attendance will be automatically captured by ZOOM when you sign-in using your own personal meeting link. The Zoom attendance report will contain the participants’ registered name, email, login date & time, logout date & time and duration.
    • Attendance of the following folks will not be submitted to SMC for CME point claim: ie anonymous folks with unidentifiable names, folks who sign-in to the session using another person’s personal meeting link/email, folks who logout before 1pm, folks who login after the session has ended or folks who have attended less than 10% of the talk.
    • DO NOT report attendance on behalf of another person (using the Rename function or chat box) because Zoom tracks all login and changes in the attendance report, and this report may be submitted to SMC for audit purposes.
  5. These Online CME Lectures will not be recorded and external recording of the lecture and sharing the recording in social media is not allowed.
  6. For enquires on IHH Healthcare Singapore CME Programmes: [email protected]
