Clinical Research

Clinical research is an essential part of how IHH North Asia advances healthcare quality and supports evidence‑based practice across the region. We are committed to creating an environment where ethical, well‑governed and patient‑centred research can take place, supported by strong clinical governance frameworks and collaboration with reputable academic partners. Through this commitment, we aim to contribute to research that drives innovation and enhances the standard of care provided to our communities.

In Hong Kong, the Gleneagles Clinical Trials Centre serves as the cornerstone of our regional clinical research efforts. The Centre is co-managed by Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong and the University of Hong Kong Clinical Trials Centre of the LKS Faculty of Medicine at HKU. Together, we provide a platform that supports a wide range of clinical studies involving treatments, procedures, drugs, vaccines and medical devices.

The Centre adopts advanced digital solutions developed by HKU‑CTC, including a cloud-based platform for clinical trial institutional management, ensuring efficiency, transparency and compliance. All research activities are conducted in accordance with internationally recognised ethical principles and national and local regulatory guidelines. These include the Declaration of Helsinki, the Belmont Report, ICH Good Clinical Practice and the China Good Clinical Practice Guideline for Drug Clinical Trials.

Through this work, we remain committed to contributing to impactful clinical research and supporting the development of innovative therapies that bring new possibilities and hope to patients.
