We are proud to share that Island Hospital Penang has successfully performed its first treatment of a symptomatic aberrant right subclavian artery (ARSA) aneurysm, marking a milestone for the hospital and IHH Healthcare Malaysia.

ARSA aneurysms are rare and can cause difficulty swallowing, chest discomfort or other complications.

Led by cardiothoracic surgeon, Dr Sotheenathan Krishinan, this complex case bringing together multiple expertise, managed through a seamless and multidisciplinary approach.
