Island Hospital Penang, part of IHH HEALTHCARE MALAYSIA, marked a new milestone in treating irregular heartbeat, as Dr. Ma Soot Keng, Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist, successfully performed Penang's first Pulsed Field Ablation (PFA) procedure.

PFA is a newer way to treat irregular heartbeat. It uses quick high energy electrical pulses to target heart tissue without harming nearby areas, making it a safer procedure and more effective treatment compared to traditional methods. This results in a quicker recovery for patients.
