Mount Kinabalu is not an easy climb.
For the 35 transplant recipients, dialysis patients and support team who took it on, the journey carried a message far bigger than the summit: that organ transplantation can give people the chance to live fuller, more active lives.
Organised by Wira Transplant Malaysia and championed by Siva Kumar Raghavan The ResilientMan and Manvir Victor, the expedition is also a call for more Malaysians to understand organ donation and consider the difference one pledge can make.
Before and after the climb, IHH HEALTHCARE MALAYSIA was there to help assess the climbers’ health and support them through this journey. It was a small part of a much bigger effort, led by patients who are using their own experience to bring hope and awareness to others.
To the climbers, thank you for reminding us that strength is also the will to keep going.
