Medical experts from Island Hospital Penang, part of IHH HEALTHCARE MALAYSIA, including Dr sotheenathan krishinan (Cardiothoracic Surgeon), Dr Lee Tjen Jhung (Cardiologist), and Dr chenthilnathan periasamy (ENT Specialist), successfully performed Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair (TEVAR) surgery, saving the life of a 17-year-old suffering from a rare condition.

The patient had a traumatic aortic injury—a dangerous tear in the body’s largest blood vessel, located near the left subclavian artery.
