Against the backdrop of IHH's group-wide transformation agenda, Group CEO Dr Prem Kumar Nair delivered a compelling address on the imperative for change and what the rise of technology and artificial intelligence (AI) means for the organisation's more than 70,000-strong workforce.
Dr Prem expressed his excitement when sharing about the future of work: "The way AI is transforming how we work and live is on the same scale as the PC revolution and later, the rise of smartphones and apps. AI is fast becoming the new norm. It has enormous potential in healthcare, from enhancing patient outcomes and experiences to unlocking new levels of operational efficiency."
"Healthcare organisations that lag behind risk being overtaken by those that successfully integrate AI into care delivery," he continued. "That's why we need to keep pace, embrace change, and continually upskill, so our roles stay relevant and future-ready.”
To further strengthen AI literacy across the organisation, Dr Prem launched IHH's inaugural AI Learning Festival and Hackathon, kicking off in April and culminating in a showcase at the flagship IHH Quality Summit in October.
He concluded his presentation by reminding everyone to:
