Kuching, Sarawak, 23 January 2025 – Premier Integrated Labs, a leader in healthcare diagnostics and part of IHH Healthcare Malaysia, officially opened its first laboratory in Kuching today, bringing advanced healthcare services closer to the community. 

The lab offers a comprehensive array of diagnostic services, ranging from routine blood tests to advanced molecular diagnostics, ensuring residents have access to high-quality, timely medical testing. 

Yang Berhormat Dato Lukanisman Awang Sauni, Deputy Health Minister of Malaysia, officiated the opening ceremony alongside Yang Berbahagia Kho Teck Wan, Political Secretary to the Premier of Sarawak, and other notable guests. 

Speaking at the event, Dato Lukanisman emphasised the importance of early and accurate diagnosis in addressing the rising challenges of non-communicable diseases such as cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular conditions. "The ability to detect these conditions early, paired with the right treatment strategies, can save lives and improve long-term health outcomes," said Dato Lukanisman. He also highlighted the collaboration between the public and private sectors as an essential part of improving healthcare services in Sarawak. 

Premier Integrated Labs Kuching is equipped with cutting-edge diagnostic technology from Europe, the USA and China, strengthening the region’s healthcare infrastructure and positioning Kuching as a leading reference centre for medical tourism.
